That has how many calories?!


Wouldn’t it be nice if all of our food included a nutrition label? Well that isn’t going to happen anytime soon and the most nutritious foods are sometimes the ones without labels! Even though most of us could stand to add more vegetables to our diets, it’s a good thing to know and be conscious of how many calories you are consuming from foods without labels–especially fruits that can contain a lot of sugar. Here are the calorie counts for some popular foods.

Apple 1 medium – 95

Banana 1 medium – 105

Grapefruit 1/2 – 52

Cantaloupe 1 wedge – 35

Carrots 1/2 C – 25

Cucumber 1/2 C – 8

Cauliflower 1/2 C – 14

Blue Cheese 1 oz – 99
